Libraries of Love, Africa
I was a teacher in Pflugerville for 18 years teaching kindergarten. then 3rd-12th grades. That was followed by a year of teaching high school in Lithuania. When I returned from Lithuania, I began a ten-year career as a librarian in a Round Rock school.
In 2005, a friend suggested since I had traveled to thirty-nine countries, I should go to Uganda. I agreed. Upon arrival, I went to schools to see their libraries. The schools had no books. Libraries of Love was born - which signified our love and God's love for the African child. Libraries of Love now has forty-four libraries, as well as many college graduates and sponsored students. We also provide humanitarian aid. I live in Uganda and Kenya 6-8 months a year.
