Lake Travis ISD Instructional Coach

A former high school English teacher for 14 years, Tar Banton has been an instructional coach with Lake Travis LSID for eight years. She coaches and trains teachers in learning design and implementation that leads to deeper, increasinly authentic learning for students.  

In addition to running major projects with teachers, Tara organizes and produces TEDxLakeTravisHigh, an independent TED talk event.  

Tara has two wonderful, grown children, one precious fur baby, and spends her extra time writing, painting and spending time outdoors.
