President's Update - Sept 20th
The program on Thursday will be on our new website and the use of Facebook. This is a key aspect of our future communications plans and public relations and the more you know, the more effective it will be.
Patton school Dictionary Project is on Thursday, Sep 22 at 7:30am. Oak Hill Elementary distribution went very well. Thanks to all the Distributors, Susan Steeg, Ray Gilley, Tom Cripps amd Mike Gonzales from Susan's office.
I met with George and we have a tentative date and location for the Name Change ceremony in January.
Board has affirmed the vote for the name change and approved the transfer of $50000 to an Operations Reserve Fund.
A proposal to establish an "Associate Member" category was well received, but the board has asked for an overall membership review for any other proposed changes for consideration at the next board meeting Tuesday Oct 11, 2016.
Great news on the membership front. We have three we are working on for proposal to the board and two perspective members. Lets keep up the effort. It is paying off.
Last Thursday we had a very good discussion on what to do to prepare for the name change. This will be a "committee of the club" action so everyone will get an opportunity to make a contribution.
